Land and Shade

Alfonso (Haimer Leal) is an old farmer who comes back to the house he left seventeen years ago, because his son is gravely ill. His wife Alicia (Hilda Ruiz) still lives there with his daughter-in-law Esperanza (Marleyda Soto) and a grandson, and the sugar cane around them keeps the air thick with ash. César Augusto Acevedo's drama is about how hard it is to be useful to a family you walked away from.
