Land of the Dead

“The dead shall inherit the Earth.”

Riley (Simon Baker) runs supply raids out of a walled city, where the living hole up while the dead wander the land outside. Dennis Hopper's Kaufman rules the towers, and George A. Romero keeps the dead shambling at the edges of every scene. Even behind the walls, the film suggests, people sort themselves into those who live in comfort and those who scavenge.
