“The lady returns.”

Off the coast of Santorini, archaeologist Lara Croft (Angelina Jolie) pulls a pulsing golden orb from the water, an object said to lead its holder to Pandora's Box. MI6 sends her after the box before the bioterrorist Jonathan Reiss (Ciarán Hinds) can reach it, and she recruits the mercenary Terry Sheridan (Gerard Butler) to help. Jan de Bont keeps the chase moving across continents, and the orb sits in Lara's hand, glowing gold.
