Larks on a String

Why would a government ship a professor and a trustee off to a junkyard in 1950s Czechoslovakia? Because they are judged bourgeois, and scrap metal is meant to cure them. Jiří Menzel sets Pavel Hvezdár (Václav Neckář) among the rusted heaps, where he pines for Jitka (Jitka Zelenohorská), a female convict working nearby, and he keeps wanting her through every shift.
