Last Exit to Brooklyn

“The Novel That Shocked The World Is Now A Movie”

Harry Black (Stephen Lang) leads the union strike in 1950s Red Hook, and he is quietly learning that he is gay, a fact the men on the picket line would never forgive. Uli Edel, adapting Hubert Selby Jr.'s novel, moves between the strikers, the neighborhood's sex workers and drag queens, and Tralala (Jennifer Jason Leigh), who sells herself and then falls for a client. Every one of them is a single bad week from losing the little they hold.
