Last Man Standing

“In a town with no justice, there is only one law... Every man for himself.”

The town of Jericho sits in the Prohibition-era Southwest, split between two gangs that fight over the liquor trade. John Smith (Bruce Willis) rides in as a stranger with a gun, and he sells it to whichever side pays more, while Sheriff Ed Galt (Bruce Dern) watches and does nothing. Walter Hill makes a Western in which one man can only stay alive by letting every side believe he belongs to them.
