Last Orders

Jack Dodd (Michael Caine), a London butcher, dies after fifty years of pints with the same mates, and leaves one request: that his ashes be scattered in the sea at Margate. Fred Schepisi follows Ray (Bob Hoskins), Lenny (David Hemmings), Vic (Tom Courtenay) and Jack's foster son Vince on the drive out, the old stories of Jack and Amy surfacing along the way. Four men sit in a car with a jar of ashes between them, still going where Jack told them to.
