Last Stop 174

“A ride you'll never forget...”

How does a boy who loved to sing rap and stare up at the statue of Christ the Redeemer end up holding a bus full of strangers on 12 June 2000? Last Stop 174 follows Sandro (Michel Gomes) back through his years on the streets of Rio de Janeiro, where he survived the Candelária massacre, and Marisa (Cris Vianna) is part of the life he is trying to find his way into. Bruno Barreto films the city at street level and keeps the camera close to Sandro's face.
