Late Chrysanthemums

Kin (Haruko Sugimura) spends her days collecting on loans, and her debtors include the three women she once worked beside as a geisha: Nobu (Sadako Sawamura), Tamae (Chikako Hosokawa) and Tomi (Yūko Mochizuki). Mikio Naruse sets them in post-war Tokyo, where their looks are gone. When Tabe (Ken Uehara), a lover Kin remembers fondly, comes back into her life, what sits between them is a long-ago affection that the years have thinned.
