On Halloween night in 1977, talk show host Jack Delroy (David Dastmalchian) goes live with a Halloween special, hoping a risky guest list will lift his sagging ratings. His main attraction is Lilly D'Abo (Ingrid Torelli), a girl said to be possessed, seated beside the parapsychologist June Ross-Mitchell (Laura Gordon). The Cairnes brothers build it as a found broadcast, with the cameras, the commercial breaks and the studio audience all kept in view.
