Laura

“The story of a love that became the most fearful thing that ever happened to a woman!”

Laura Hunt (Gene Tierney) is dead, and nobody who knew her can say who wanted her gone. Detective Mark McPherson (Dana Andrews) works through the suspects one at a time, the columnist Waldo Lydecker (Clifton Webb), her fiancé Shelby Carpenter (Vincent Price), and the wealthy Ann Treadwell (Judith Anderson). Otto Preminger has him spending his evenings in her apartment, and the more he learns about Laura, the less he can leave the case alone.
