Law of the Border

A smuggling chief in Deliviran, a village near Urfa on the Syrian border, is shot, and no one in the village will say why. Hıdır (Yılmaz Güney) wants nothing to do with the trade, but each time he steps back, the people around him push him further in. Lütfi Akad follows him until he takes a herd of sheep toward the border, a man who still believes he can choose where to stand.
