Lawn Dogs

“Innocence is a dangerous friend.”

Nobody in Camelot Gardens, a gated Kentucky community, can say why a ten-year-old girl would spend her afternoons with the 21-year-old who mows their lawns. Devon Stockard (Mischa Barton) is new, solitary and sharp-tongued, and Trent Burns (Sam Rockwell) lives outside the gates, watching the neighborhood's affairs from behind a mower. John Duigan stages the friendship as a fairy tale set on a manicured lawn, with the gates always in frame.
