Lawrence of Arabia
“Nothing is written.”
T.E. Lawrence (Peter O'Toole) is a British officer assigned to liaison with Arab forces against the Ottoman Empire during World War I. He joins Prince Feisal (Alec Guinness) and the Bedouin fighters, leading them across the desert in a campaign that transforms him. David Lean films the vast dunes and the bond between Lawrence and Sherif Ali (Omar Sharif) with such scale that the personal and the historical become inseparable.
