“How far can a losing shot take you?”

In Las Vegas, a former stripper named Beth Raymer (Rebecca Hall) finds she has a talent for numbers, and it lands her a job with Dink Heimowitz (Bruce Willis), a professional gambler who runs a sports book. Stephen Frears follows her into the legal and illegal sides of betting, with Dink's wife Tulip (Catherine Zeta-Jones) watching from the edge of the business. Underneath the odds and the point spreads, it comes down to how far a person trusts their own luck.
