“Anna planned to propose to her boyfriend on February 29th. This is not her boyfriend.”

Anna Brady (Amy Adams) has been with her boyfriend Jeremy (Adam Scott) for years, and another anniversary goes by with no ring. She knows an Irish tradition that lets a woman propose on February 29, so she boards a flight to Dublin to ask him herself. Her trip goes off course and leaves her with Declan (Matthew Goode), a surly Irishman, and Anand Tucker films their journey across the countryside.
