Learning to Drive

“It's never too late to begin a new adventure.”

In Manhattan, a book critic named Wendy (Patricia Clarkson) has never needed a license, and then her husband Ted (Jake Weber) tells her the marriage is over. She signs up for lessons with Darwan (Ben Kingsley), a Sikh instructor who has his own troubles at home and gives her the same patient, steady voice he gives everyone behind the wheel. Isabel Coixet keeps the camera close to Wendy, who grips the wheel and has to learn to live without the man who always drove.
