Leave Her to Heaven
“Hers was the deadliest of the seven sins!”
Ellen Berent Harland (Gene Tierney) is a wealthy socialite who meets the novelist Richard Harland (Cornel Wilde) and marries him almost at once. John M. Stahl films her in saturated Technicolor, and her devotion to Richard soon turns jealous, then dangerous, toward anyone who takes his attention, including her adopted sister Ruth (Jeanne Crain). The story is about a love so possessive it stops being love and becomes a kind of ownership.
