L'Eclisse

“The ache and ecstasy of love…”

In Rome in 1962, the translator Vittoria (Monica Vitti) ends things with her boyfriend Riccardo (Francisco Rabal) after a night of talk that settles nothing. Soon after, she wanders onto the crowded floor of the stock exchange and meets Piero (Alain Delon), a young broker who moves through the shouting like it's his own house. Michelangelo Antonioni sets their affair against a love that is hard to hold onto.
