(1986)Directed by Ivan Reitman116 min · PGComedy, Crime

“Tom Logan has a law partner who put a dog on the witness stand. A client who can't enter a room without a crime being committed. And a case that could turn out to be the murder of the year. His.”

New York in 1986 is where Tom Logan (Robert Redford) works as an assistant district attorney with a clear road to higher office. Then he meets the defence lawyer Laura Kelly (Debra Winger) and her client Chelsea Deardon (Daryl Hannah), who stands accused of stealing a very valuable painting. Ivan Reitman puts Tom between the two women, and he starts cutting official corners he swore he never would.
