Legend No. 17
Valeri Kharlamov (Danila Kozlovsky) is a young Soviet hockey player who skates fast and loose, and the national program wants him. Nikolay Lebedev follows him from boyhood through his climb under the coach Tarasov (Oleg Menshikov) toward the first game of the 1972 Summit Series against Canada. Kozlovsky plays him lean and quick on the ice, the puck sliding ahead of his stick like it has somewhere to be.
