Legend of the Demon Cat

“Love. Death. Revenge.”

Bai Letian (Huang Xuan) is a poet in Late Tang Changan, sent to look into a demon cat that has invaded a manor and left the capital uneasy. His search for answers brings him to Kukai (Shota Sometani), a monk, and the two begin pulling at the clues together. Chen Kaige builds the story around the old tragedy of Emperor Xuanzong and Lady Yang, and the partnership between the poet and the monk is what carries it.
