Mara (Mălina Manovici) is a thirty-year-old Romanian single mother working as a caretaker in the US on a temporary visa. Ioana Uricaru follows the paperwork as it stalls, and every official or employer Mara turns to begins to ask her what she is willing to give up to stay.
