Lenny

(1974)Directed by Bob Fosse112 min · RDrama
“Lenny Said It. "Hot Honey" Did It. Together They Shocked America.”

Lenny Bruce (Dustin Hoffman) walks onto a stage in the early 1960s and says the words other comics won't, about sex, religion and race, and the clubs start calling him obscene. Bob Fosse builds the film from interviews and nightclub routines, with Honey (Valerie Perrine) and his mother, Sally Marr (Jan Miner), watching from the edges. Lenny keeps talking, keeps getting arrested, and cannot make himself soften a single word.
