Les Misérables

“Fight. Dream. Hope. Love.”

Jean Valjean (Hugh Jackman) wants only to disappear into a quiet life, but his parole officer Javert (Russell Crowe) pursues him as a matter of principle. Along the way, Valjean rescues a dying factory worker's daughter Cosette (Amanda Seyfried) and raises her as his own, drawing them both into the dangerous orbit of Paris's poor. Hooper films the actors singing close enough to see the salt on their cheeks, each number a raw cry.
