Less Than Zero

“It only looks like the good life.”

It is Christmas in Los Angeles, and Clay (Andrew McCarthy) has flown home from his first semester at college because his ex-girlfriend Blair (Jami Gertz) asked him to. He finds his old best friend Julian (Robert Downey Jr.) deep in a drug habit that has outrun anyone's control. Marek Kanievska sets the story among the city's wealthy teenagers, where Julian's debts grow and the parties go on.
