Let It Shine

“The truth is in the music.”

Cyrus (Tyler James Williams) is a shy teenage rapper who writes romantic verses in secret, partly out of self-doubt and partly because his strict religious parents expect a different path from him. His best friend Kris (Trevor Jackson) delivers the lyrics to Roxxie (Coco Jones), the girl Cyrus wants for himself. Paul Hoen builds this loose Cyrano de Bergerac retelling around the songs, letting each new verse carry the story forward.
