Let Me Be with You

“A love with an expiration date.”

A phone call that neither of them expects puts Lucía (Andrea Sutton Chávez), who lives with an incurable disease, in touch with Bruno (Aksel Gomez), who has just been deported to Mexico and has nowhere to sleep. The two of them start from nothing but the call and a willingness to answer it, and they begin rebuilding from there. Isaac Cherem keeps the camera close to both of them, so the film stays with their small, ordinary kindnesses.
