Why would a gang carrying 250 kilograms of stolen gold stop at a ramshackle retreat on the Mediterranean in the middle of July? Rhino (Stéphane Ferrara) wants to lie low, but the writer Bernier, his muse Luce (Elina Löwensohn) and two gendarmes turn up and spoil the plan. Hélène Cattet and Bruno Forzani set it all under a scorching sun, the gold heavy and bright on a hot day in July.
