Let the Sunshine In

“When you're not in love, what do you do?”

Isabelle (Juliette Binoche) is a Parisian artist and a divorced mother, and she cannot work out why love keeps arriving in the wrong shape. Claire Denis follows her through a run of men, among them a banker, an actor and a man she has known for years (Vincent, Xavier Beauvois), each one promising to be the real thing. She wants true love at last, and every new evening puts her hopes on the table again.
