Lethal Weapon

“If these two can learn to stand each other... the bad guys don't stand a chance.”

Roger Murtaugh (Danny Glover), an LAPD homicide sergeant, only wants to reach retirement and keep his family's Christmas intact. Instead the department pairs him with Martin Riggs (Mel Gibson), a former Special Forces soldier grieving his wife and openly reckless with his own life. Richard Donner sends them after a young woman's apparent suicide, two men who dislike each other sharing one car and a heroin ring.
