“The magic is back!”

Martin Riggs (Mel Gibson) and Roger Murtaugh (Danny Glover) are Los Angeles cops, one reckless and one worn down, handed a protection job that leads them to a group of South African diplomats. Richard Donner sends them after men who commit their crimes behind diplomatic immunity, with Leo Getz (Joe Pesci) talking nonstop in the back seat. Riggs and Murtaugh keep arguing in the car, two partners in each other's line of sight.
