Ley Lines

Ryuichi (Kazuki Kitamura) and two friends leave their semi-rural hometown for Shinjuku, three young men of Chinese descent looking for a way into Tokyo. Takashi Miike follows them as they befriend Anita (Dan Li), a troubled Shanghai prostitute, and get on the wrong side of a local crime syndicate. Ryuichi wants out of the life he was born into, and the city has no room for him.
