“This holiday, she's dropping some big news.”

It's Thanksgiving at the family house, and Lauren Anderson (Jenna Laurenzo) has come home with her girlfriend Hailey (Caitlin Mehner), planning to finally tell everyone who she is. Her roommate Austin (Brandon Micheal Hall) turns up at the door uninvited, and her father Mike (Steve Guttenberg) and Maggie (Elaine Hendrix) are already waiting inside. Laurenzo writes and directs, and she leaves Lauren at the dinner table with the words she came to say still unspoken.
