Lianna

“A sensual, tender, and provocative love story”

Lianna (Linda Griffiths) spends her days on errands and her evenings at dull faculty parties, married to Dick (Jon DeVries), and she wants a life of her own. She signs up for a child-psychology extension course taught by Ruth (Jane Hallaren), and the classroom gives her more than she expected. John Sayles writes and directs it in plain, talky scenes that keep their attention on what each conversation costs.
