“Trust me.”

Fletcher Reede (Jim Carrey) is a fast-talking attorney who lies to clients, judges and his own family, and what he wants most is to win his next big case. Then his son Max (Justin Cooper) wishes on a birthday candle that his father could go one day without lying, and the wish holds. Tom Shadyac follows Fletcher through those 24 hours, and the one person he keeps trying to get back is his ex-wife Audrey (Maura Tierney).
