Libeled Lady

“At the top of their game.”

Warren Haggerty (Spencer Tracy), the harried editor of a New York paper, needs to get out from under a multi-million-dollar libel suit from the socialite Connie Allenbury (Myrna Loy). His answer is to rope in his old friend Bill Chandler (William Powell) and to lean on his own long-suffering fiancée, Gladys (Jean Harlow). Jack Conway sets the scheme in motion, and Gladys and Connie each end up wanting a different man than the one Warren picked for them.
