Life Dances On

A widow named Christine Surgère (Marie Bell) goes back to a single night, the ball of her youth, and wonders whether she married the wrong man. She decides to find the men who danced with her that evening and knocks on their doors one after another, among them Thierry Raynal (Pierre Blanchar) and Pierre Verdier (Louis Jouvet). Julien Duvivier lets each visit show her how much she mattered to these men, a feeling she never knew they carried.
