Mateusz Rosiński (Dawid Ogrodnik) is a young man in Poland who understands everything around him and can barely move or speak, because of severe cerebral palsy. His family loves him, but when circumstances place him in an institution, the people there take his silence for an empty mind and treat him that way. Maciej Pieprzyca tells his true story as a question of who gets to be called a person.
