Life in a Metro

“One City. Countless Emotions.”

Shruti (Konkona Sen Sharma) is a young woman in Mumbai, hoping to find love, while across the city her older sister Shikha (Shilpa Shetty Kundra) tries to hold a marriage together with Ranjeet (Kay Kay Menon). Anurag Basu follows nine people through a crowded city, partly inspired by Billy Wilder's The Apartment. Each is looking for someone, and the film keeps asking whether two people can ever stay close.
