Two babies are switched at birth in a hospital in northern France, and a nurse keeps the secret for twelve years. Then the mistake comes out, and the Le Quesnoys, an affluent, church-going family, must meet Momo Groseille (Benoît Magimel), a rambunctious boy raised in a hungry, noisy, laughing household. Étienne Chatiliez has Momo walk into the tidy house of Madame Le Quesnoy (Hélène Vincent), where he is as foreign as everyone in it is to him.
