“He's not the messiah...he's just a naughty boy.”

Why does a crowd in Judaea keep following Brian Cohen (Graham Chapman), an ordinary young man whose only mistake was living next door to the wrong stable? Terry Jones directs the Monty Python troupe through a run of separatist movements, shrill complaints from his mother, and Pontius Pilate. Brian ducks the whole lot, and a hillside of followers trails behind him.
