Life Upside Down

Nothing is visibly wrong with Jacques Valin (Charles Denner). He is a Paris real estate man with a wife, Viviane (Anna Gaylor), and an orderly life, yet he starts pulling away from it for reasons he never fully gives. Alain Jessua plays the withdrawal deadpan, and as Jacques retreats into a world of his own, the film suggests that the ordinary life he is leaving may be the stranger place.
