“In the blink of an eye, the terror begins.”

Three humanoid bodies lie in suspended animation inside the hold of an alien ship, and nobody on the European space shuttle that finds them can say who built it or why it was drifting there. Col. Tom Carlsen (Steve Railsback) and his crew bring them back toward London, and Col. Colin Caine (Peter Firth) is left to deal with what follows once the Space Girl (Mathilda May) wakes. Tobe Hooper stages the whole thing as a big, loud, feverish spectacle.
