Lifeguard

“Every girl's summer dream.”

Rick Carlson (Sam Elliott) is in his thirties and still working a Southern California lifeguard tower when his fifteen-year high school reunion comes around. There he runs into Cathy (Anne Archer), his old girlfriend, now a divorced mother, and he starts to wonder whether the job and the life that goes with it are enough. Daniel Petrie leaves Rick alone in his chair at the end of the day, a tanned man in his thirties, looking out at a beach he knows by heart.
