Lightning Strikes Twice

“Would You Have the Nerve to Do What She Did on Her Wedding Day?”

Shelley Carnes (Ruth Roman), a New York actress sent west to recover her health, finds a dude ranch run by Richard Trevelyan (Richard Todd), a man a court has just acquitted of murdering his wife. Nobody at the ranch will say what really happened, and the people around him seem to be watching him as closely as she is. King Vidor puts her in love with a man the verdict never cleared in anyone's mind, and she has to decide how much she is willing to bet on him.
