Lights in the Dusk
Koistinen (Janne Hyytiäinen) guards a luxury shopping mall in Helsinki through the night shift. He has no friends, his co-workers shut him out, and he wants somebody to talk to. When the blonde Mirja (Maria Järvenhelmi) sits down near him, he believes he has found that person, never guessing she answers to her criminal boyfriend. Aki Kaurismäki closes the Finland trilogy here, keeping his actors flat-voiced and the camera still.
