Like a Cat on a Highway

“They can't last. Longer than a cat on a highway.”

Nobody in the Minimo household can account for why their teenage son keeps vanishing, until they learn he is in love with a girl from a family of very little money. Giovanni (Antonio Albanese), a comfortable bourgeois man, has to meet her mother Monica (Paola Cortellesi), who lives on far less than he does. Riccardo Milani sets the two parents across from each other, and what grows between them is awkward, wary and slowly kind.
