Like a Son

Jacques Romand (Vincent Lindon), a teacher, takes in Victor (Stefan Virgil Stoica), a boy from the Romani community marked by petty crime and survival on the streets. What begins as obligation becomes care as Jacques pushes Victor toward school and a different life, while Victor tests whether this man will stay. The film ends not in transformation but in the tentative bond that grows between them, neither one quite sure it will hold.
