Like Father, Like Son

“At what point does a father truly become a father?”

Ryota Nonomiya (Masaharu Fukuyama) is a successful businessman who measures a life by what it earns. Then the hospital tells him that his six-year-old son is not his own, that the boy was switched at birth with another child. Hirokazu Kore-eda follows Ryota and his wife Midori (Machiko Ono) toward the other family, and the film keeps coming back to a small boy waiting for his father to come home.
